An electromagnetic shielding effectiveness tester can be used to test the shielding effectiveness of J1939 cables
Place the cable sample in the testing fixture of the tester to ensure a good connection.
Selecting the appropriate testing frequency range is generally determined based on the usage scenario and potential interference frequencies of J1939 cables, typically covering multiple frequency bands from low to high.
The tester emits electromagnetic waves and measures the electromagnetic wave intensity after passing through the cable shielding layer. By comparing the electromagnetic wave intensity with that without shielding, the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of the cable is calculated in dB. The higher the shielding effectiveness, the better the shielding effect of the cable. Generally speaking, high-quality J1939 cables should have a shielding efficiency of over 30dB within their operating frequency range.
